Irony of the Day

What I think it totally ironic is how in today's society, individuals who are bluntly bullied, different from others, or off standish, commonly get bashed on continually and this can sometimes lead to that individual harming oneself or kill them self. John's expression of how he believes the World State is wrong, and how his opinion is different from the popular or well known, he is bashed and labeled "savage" because he sees things differently. This treatment from others causes him to end his life because of the fact that it caused him to perform badly and kill and make a fool out of himself. He hung him self because he simply did not have a right to his own opinion. Just like in society today. You say one thing that doesn't agree with society and get shit for it until the day you die. It's never ending really. Overall, I just thought it's ironic how the book ends with a common action performed by individuals who have suffered from bullies, rude harsh comments, or judgement. Today in society suicide occurs a lot, and I think it is strange how Huxley also mentions and depicts it in his novel written way back when when society's judgments and influence wasn't so harsh/influential.
